About

Although I do not remember a time in my life when I was not practicing one craft or another, the mysteries of knitting eluded me until I was in my twenties. Fortunately for me I found Elizabeth Zimmerman and Knitting Without Tears not long after, and was empowered to knit courageously, if sporadically. It was over twenty years later that I became the avid, possessed knitter I am today, never without yarn and needles at hand. Life taught me the hard way the benefits of knitting to mental and emotional health during my husband’s protracted illness and death, through widowhood and empty nest, and beyond. Now I find pleasure in helping others learn to create beauty and peace in their lives through the magic of knit and purl.

You are my sister…true. But I have never seen anyone knit like you…except my other crazy knitter sister! I will stick to quilting. I know when I can’ t compete!

Good job! Mom liked it, too. Another relative heard from! Keep up the good work.
